Record numbers turn out for Belknap County Fair Winni Echo 8/16/17
The 74th annual Belknap County 4-H Fair, which will be held Saturday and Sunday Aug. 12-13 at the fairgrounds on Mile Hill Road, will offer a special entertainment preview in Friday, Aug. 11, starting at 6 p.m. (Laconia Daily Sun)

On Sunday, September 4th we celebrated the End of Summer with a block party on Mill Street.
Who doesn't love the Beatles, and their early music is so fabulous! The band, Studio Two, brought all of those songs to life during their two hour concert.

Friends brought picnics and a blanket or used one of our folding chairs. It was a wonderful night out to celebrate the End of Summer and Labor Day Weekend and there was plenty of room for dancing!

A Sunday, August 28 concert at the Bandstand featured the 22 piece Newmont Military Band (www.newmontmilitaryband.org). Activities started at 1:00pm and music from 2:00pm - 3:30pm.

Concert at the Belmont Bandstand
July 2nd
The Belmont Bandstand hosted the the first Fourth of July weekend concert held since the 1908 classic Bandstand was named to the New Hampshire State Register of Historic Places.
More than 60 attended the three hour songfest, and Belknap County Commissioner Dick Burchell, who currently represents Belmont, visited with his 1931 Packard.
The concert featured Lakes Region musical talents Audrey Drake, Jackie Lee and Jack Polidoro (The Good Dr. Jack).
Activities for the children were offered beginning at 4:30pm next to the Bandstand.
The concert was presented by the Belmont Heritage Commission with sponsorship by the John M. Sargent Fund, Belmont Parks and Recreation and the Belmont Public Library. Daily Sun

"Make A Difference Day" - 2008 was Belmont's premiere participation in the Nation's largest day of volunteering. This now annual community effort has included planting over 4,000 spring-blooming daffodils in special community places including Sargent Park, the Library, Mill, Penstock Park, Corner Meeting House and Veterans' Monument. |
This year marks the 100th anniversary of the end of World I, and members of the Charles Kilborn American Legion Post 58 took time to pay a special tribute to those brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the "War to End All Wars.”
The day began with a parade from Belmont Middle School to the WWI monument on Church Street where a crowd gathered to take part in the annual ceremonies.

American Legion Post #58 in Belmont hosted this year’s Memorial Day parade and ceremonies on Monday, May 29th The parade route ran from the Belmont Middle School parking lot down to Main Street and then along Main Street to the Veterans Memorial by St. Joseph’s Church. This year’s speaker was Lt. Colonel Kurt Webber, U.S. Army, retired.
Post 58 and Jordan’s Ice Cream once again provided tickets for an ice cream cone to all children 12 and under who attended the parade and ceremonies and a ticket for an ice cream sundae for any WWII veteran attending. Daily Sun 5/18/17
The Belmont Police Department had the honor of supporting and saluting our Veterans during Belmont's Memorial Day Parade. As tradition, our Honor Guard lead the parade to show honor to all our Veterans. Today, they also had the privilege of meeting Rosario Cadurette, a WWII veteran. Sir, Thank you for your service and sacrifice.
