The Tioga Pavilion, is located at 18 Mill Street, adjacent to the Mill, and is a community gathering place for the Recreation Department's programs, a Farmers' Market, Old Home Day and the Schools. This is a covered, open pavilion. The enclosed center area houses bathroom facilities and storage. The open wings can be used for multiple uses. Construction was funded through a Land and Water Conservation Fund grant from the National Park Service.
2015 The Belmont Pavilion is under construction. We are working with NCM Management Inc. and Stewart Associates, both local firms, on the project and we are very excited to have them on board. Volunteer efforts by members of the Revitalization Committee continue to move this project and the river walk and footbridge forward; we could not do this without their help. We anticipate the Pavilion to be complete by late fall and would anticipate it will be available for use in the spring of 2015. Anyone having questions on the design, please feel free to stop by the Town Administrator's office.

July 31, 2014 The Belmont Pavilion which will be located next to the Mill should be under construction by mid to late August. The project has received the go ahead from the Board of Selectmen and the Planning Board held a public hearing on the project on Monday, July 28th.

Town is Awarded Land Water Conservation Fund Grant from the National Park Service
The Town is excited to announce receipt of final approval of a Land Water Conservation Fund Grant from the National Park Service. The grant will be used to construct a pavilion next to the Belmont Mill and the River Walk planned along the Tioga River. Land for the River Walk was generously donated to the Town by Mr. & Mrs. Richard Persons in 2011. The Town has been anxiously awaiting word on the grant since last fall. Today's news was well worth the wait. The Town would like to thank all of the volunteers and staff who worked on this application and subsequent studies that were needed; their efforts are now being rewarded! Work on the pavilion project can begin once the final report has been issued on the latest archaeological study. News from the Conservation Commission 08/2011
In December, 2011, the Selectmen authorized the historic preservation "Review & Compliance" to be done by Archaeological Consulting, LLC necessary for the submission of the L&WCF grant application.

To the south of the mill, behind the new location of the Gale School, a covered, open pavilion is proposed. The enclosed center area would house bathroom facilities and storage. The open wings can be used for multiple uses such as a farmers market, craft shows or town festivals.
The value of a recently donated 20+Ac former Railroad bed from Dick and Betty Persons will serve as the Town's match for a $89,000 grant from the Land and Water Conservation Fund. This grant will support the construction of the Tioga Pavilion and River Walk.
In November, 2009, the Selectmen authorized the Revitalization Committee to apply for a Land and Water Conservation Fund grant on behalf of the Town for the Pavilion and Riverwalk. In October, 2010, the town contracted with Christopher Williams, AIA, to develop a cost estimate for the pavilion for the purposes of making grant application.
In January, 2011, the Selectmen included a warrant article in the amount of $178,359 in order to appropriate the funds that would be received from the L&WCF grant. Of this amount $90,000 would be offset by the anticipated grant and the balance of $88,359 is to be funded by in-kind donations of labor and materials. The article was supported by the Budget Committee and ultimately adopted by Town Meeting.
